QUALITY MANAGEMENT

As part of our ongoing commitment to quality, we have recieved the DNV HACCP approval certificate for our factory manufacturing standards.

Quality is paramount at VITALIA and starts with our suppliers. We provide each of our carefully selected suppliers with a strict and detailed quality specification for each ingredient covering size, texture, colour, moisture content, microbiological analysis, packaging type and transport requirements.

On arrival at our factory the quality assurance continues by examining samples from each delivery against the specification. Ingredient quality tests are carried out throughout the processing and in particularly prior to blending, where the ingredients are thoroughly and totally inspected. Throughout the processing, inspection results are recorded and analysed in order to as certain that supplier ingredient specifications are adhered to.

HACCP is a food safety system based on seven principles that efficiently ensure complete safety of the health food products in all segments of the manufacture.

The advantages of the implementation of the HACCP system are: reducing diseases caused by food, providing citizens with safe and health food products, enabling fulfillment of the legal regulations and more efficient inspection supervision, more effective work of food producers, increasing competitiveness on the world market, allowing efficient application of new technologies and products and increasing the profit.

Vitalia has fully implemented the HACCP system and operates in accordance with its principles.

Implementing the Kosher certificate

Vitalia has confirmed its successful operation of the market once again in 2009 when it gained another global certificate. It is known as a Kosher certificate, that verifies the existing food norms in the Jewish religion and is necessity for the export to countries with Jewish religion. With the presence of standardization commission for verification of the production, Vitalia is listed as one of the few Macedonian companies that have implemented this certificate. This opens another direction in the export network of Vitalia.

Organic production certificate

Vitalia has implemented certificate for organic production, following the international rules for organic production of high quality, healthy and safe organic food with great taste in a way that does not harm the nature.

The variety of organic products contains Vitalia organic jams, organic teas and organic honey produced from ingredients that are treated in accordance with the rules for organic production with the highest degree of attention to quality and food safety.

Choosing organic food is a choice to live healthier. Organic food is produced according to the principles of organic agriculture and does not contain any artificial synthesized substances, including pesticides. It provides products with higher nutritional value than that is produced by conventional production. These products have a significantly higher content of trace-minerals, especially potassium and iron, and higher levels of magnesium, phosphorus and vitamin C. Organic production as a system takes into account the environmental, economic and social aspects of agriculture at the local, national and global level.
